The Role : - Instructional Designer will be responsible for handling Learning Design projects end to end collaborating with other Instructional Designers across the team. - This role demands go-getters who demonstrate proactive communication, high attention to detail, thorough understanding of learning theories, application of visual media design for learning, and excellent hands-on proficiency in Articulate Storyline. - A flare for research, innovation, and implementation of cutting-edge industry trends is preferred. - Learning Design - designed to maximize the learning of the user, having a learner-centric approach in all decisions regarding design experience. - Storyboarding - translating the raw/reference material into an engaging storyboard that enhances the user's learning. - Visualization - using the visual medium to convey ideas and enhance learning - creating visual representations of concepts, ensuring visual consistency and harmony in the design. - Co-ordination with the Production team - interacting with teammates the extended team (graphics, programming and editing partners) to create a top-quality learning course. Responsibilities : - Analyze the source material and articulate questions and assumptions for the client. - Conduct SME interviews to gather content. - Create high-level design documents and conduct design walkthrough. - Create low-level designs and storyboards in a standard format. - Review the final output created by the entire team to check for adherence to client requirements/learner's perspective. - Analyze QC and edit feedback/data for team and create an action plan for the team. - Analyze and resolve client/SME comments received at various stages (SB/Alpha/Beta) and guide the team to address/respond. - Collaborate with the graphics and content technology team to design the user interface/visual strategy. - Set up project-specific standards, templates and checklists, communication templates/protocols for SME/client communication. Skills and Qualifications : - Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Educational Tech, Instructional Design, Mass Communication, or Journalism. - Specialized knowledge : Instructional design, online learning, video-based learning, mobile learning Other characteristics : - Team player, ability to work in a global, virtual team - Prior experience in a startup environment will be helpful, innovative, attention to detail, - Ability to grasp technical concepts and simplify them visually, and an inclination towards understanding academic content. - Professional certification - Instructional design, storyline a plus - Experience - At least 4+ years of work experience in a fast-paced, growth environment in a similar role
