Job Title: Scan to AutoCAD/Cyclone Modeler in Oil and Gas Process Industries

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Scan to AutoCAD/Cyclone Modeler to join our team in the oil and gas process industries. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating accurate and detailed 2D and 3D models from laser scan data using AutoCAD and Cyclone software. This role involves collaborating with engineering teams to support the design, modification, and documentation of process facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

•⁠ ⁠Data Processing and Management:

 - Import and process laser scan data using Leica Cyclone software.

 - Organize and manage point cloud data to ensure accuracy and accessibility.

•⁠ ⁠Modeling and Drafting:

 - Convert point cloud data into detailed 2D and 3D models using AutoCAD.

 - Create as-built models and drawings of process equipment, piping, structural components, and other facility features.

 - Ensure models meet industry standards and client specifications.

•⁠ ⁠Collaboration and Coordination:

 - Work closely with engineers, designers, and project managers to understand project requirements and deliverables.

 - Participate in project meetings to discuss progress, address challenges, and propose solutions.

•⁠ ⁠Quality Assurance:

 - Conduct quality checks on models and drawings to ensure precision and compliance with project standards.

 - Perform site visits to verify scan data and model accuracy as needed.

•⁠ ⁠Documentation and Reporting:

 - Prepare detailed documentation and reports on modeling activities and findings.

 - Maintain up-to-date records of all project-related data and modifications.

Qualifications:

•⁠ ⁠Experience:

 - Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in laser scanning, AutoCAD drafting, and Cyclone modeling, preferably within the oil and gas industry.

•⁠ ⁠Technical Skills:

 - Proficiency in AutoCAD and Leica Cyclone software.

 - Strong understanding of point cloud processing and 3D modeling techniques.

 - Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in process plant design and documentation.

•⁠ ⁠Other Skills:

 - Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

 - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

 - Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

 - Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

•⁠ ⁠Experience with additional software tools such as Revit, Navisworks, or other 3D modeling platforms.

•⁠ ⁠Familiarity with the oil and gas industry’s regulatory and safety standards.

•⁠ ⁠Previous experience in site survey and data collection.
