Job Title : Application Support Engineer (NodeJs) Project Role Description : Act as software detectives, provide a dynamic service identifying and solving issues within multiple components of critical business systems. Team Size: 8 Key Responsibilities : Provide Application Support for a critical enterprise app for internal and external customers. {The application is on AWS and developed using Angular, Node.JS, AWS services (AWS SQS, SNS, API Gateway, EC2, S3) and DB2}. Strong software application troubleshooting background skills to serve as an Application Support (L2/L3) within multiple components of critical business systems. Solid background of JavaScript and of Node.js along with frameworks available for it.(preferably Angular) You will be responsible for successfully troubleshooting and debugging technical issues and identifying modifications needed, as well as: Troubleshoot issues (network, web apps, file system, and user management). Develop custom scripts, web tools and technical explanations to support customers. Document and track customer support tickets from opening through resolution. Manage customer expectations through the issue resolution process. Participate in on-call rotation throughout the year. Recommend and implement improvements to existing technical support tools, procedures, and processes. Technical Experience : 4-5 years’ experience in emerging web technologies including JavaScript, jQuery, Node.js and frameworks available for it. (preferably Angular) Prior experience of working with a client and/or debugging/fixing production problems. Should be able to do detailed analysis of applications logs etc in order to troubleshoot an issue and on the UI side, familiarity with Chrome developer tools is a plus. Excellent Problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong scripting skills. Should possess good hands on SQL skills. Requires strong monitoring, analytical and critical thinking skills.
