Key Responsibilities

1. Beverage Preparation & Quality Control

• Prepare and serve all beverages in accordance with defined recipes and quality standards
• Perform daily espresso calibration and monitor extraction quality
• Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and temperature of all beverages
• Identify and correct deviations in beverage quality during service

2. Bar Operations & Shift Management

• Oversee day-to-day bar operations during assigned shifts
• Ensure smooth workflow and coordination across service areas
• Maintain efficiency and composure during peak hours
• Address operational issues in a timely manner

3. Customer Service

• Provide professional, courteous, and informed service to customers
• Assist customers with menu selection and coffee knowledge
• Handle customer concerns or feedback appropriately

4. Training & Supervision

• Train and guide junior staff in beverage preparation and service standards
• Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Support onboarding of new team members

5. Equipment Maintenance

• Ensure proper use, cleaning, and routine maintenance of coffee equipment
• Perform daily cleaning procedures including backflushing and upkeep
• Report any equipment issues promptly

6. Inventory Management

• Monitor stock levels of coffee, milk, and bar supplies
• Assist in inventory control and ordering processes
• Ensure proper storage and handling of all materials

7. Compliance & Hygiene

• Adhere to all hygiene, safety, and sanitation standards
• Follow opening and closing procedures as prescribed
• Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the workspace at all times
