Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team at [Company Name]. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in accounting, preferably within the construction industry, and will be responsible for managing the end-to-end financial operations of the company. This includes overseeing day-to-day accounting activities, ensuring compliance with GST and other tax regulations, and providing strategic financial insights to support business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management:

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports.
• Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing processes.

Tax Compliance:

• Manage GST compliance, including timely filing of returns and handling GST audits.
• Ensure compliance with all other applicable tax regulations and liaise with tax authorities as required.
• Prepare and submit tax returns and statutory filings.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

• Develop and manage annual budgets and financial forecasts.
• Monitor and analyze financial performance against budgets and forecasts.
• Provide regular financial updates to senior management.

Audit and Control:

• Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring accurate and timely completion.
• Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

Financial Analysis:

• Conduct financial analysis and prepare reports to support business decision-making.
• Identify areas for cost reduction and process improvement.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic initiatives.

• Minimum of 7-10 years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of Indian accounting standards, GST regulations, and other relevant tax laws.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with ERP systems and construction-specific accounting software.
