Responsibilities:
- Lead the entire kitchen operation with authority and expertise, ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
- Develop innovative and seasonally inspired menus that showcase our commitment to sustainability and local ingredients.
- Oversee all aspects of food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency and excellence.
- Manage kitchen staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, respect, and creativity within the kitchen team.
- Implement and enforce kitchen policies and procedures to maintain safety, cleanliness, and organization.
- Collaborate with management to develop cost-effective menu options while maximizing profitability.
- Maintain inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to ensure ingredient freshness and availability.
- Stay abreast of culinary trends and techniques, continuously seeking opportunities for innovation and improvement.
- Handle kitchen-related emergencies and customer inquiries with professionalism and grace.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Chef de partie or Head Chef in a high-volume, upscale restaurant or culinary establishment.
- Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques, flavor profiles, and ingredient sourcing.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Passion for sustainability and a commitment to using eco-friendly practices in the kitchen.
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification is preferred.
