Business Analyst - Cards & Payments

Key responsibility:

Gathering business requirement, mapping the requirement with system, Gap Analysis & building the solution to meet client expectations.

Preparation of BRD (Businesses Requirement Document) and FSD (Functional Specification Document), Gap Analysis documents and Write User Stories.

Design and configure functional flow of multiple large scale/complex payments solutions, even by extending the existing platform through custom development, customization and integration with in-house solutions and vendor solutions leading to a complete platform that caters to key business requirements.

Work closely with clients/Sr. BA/Product Owner to establish exact requirements and manage expectations

Participate in full life cycle of design, development and testing phases

Responsible for configuring and testing Core Payments Flow, configurations and development integration testing of Core payments product.

Work closely with Program Management and Quality Control teams to deliver quality product to agreed project schedules.

Proactively notify Development Project Manager of risks, bottlenecks, problems, issues, and concerns.

Compliance with System Development Lifecycle and Information Security requirements


5+ years of strong experience and understanding of various Payments schemes and ecosystems.

Strong understanding of Payments messaging formats such as ISO 8583, ISO 20022, and SWIFT etc.

Strong understanding of Payment domain (cross border, domestic payments, SWIFT messages, ISO20022).

Ability to write BRDs, FRDs and data mapping specification documents

Experience/Understanding of payments operations across various stages like payment initiation, validation, sanctions, processing, post processing.

Experience in implementing strategic payment & cards solution- design, Innovation and implementation.

Preferred Experience in working on JMS / MQ applications.

Preferred testing experience of payment flows including Real time, High Value payments.

Experience in systems analysis and programming of software applications

Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
