Position Title: Junior Accountant

Reporting To: Senior Accountant / Finance Manager

Role OverviewWe are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to support our day-to-day financial operations. The ideal candidate will assist in maintaining accurate financial records, handling billing and invoicing for retail and workshop sales, and supporting compliance activities — all within a fast-paced experiential retail environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesDaily Accounting & Bookkeeping

• Maintain daily accounting entries including cash, bank, and journal vouchers
• Record sales transactions from the retail showroom and culinary workshop bookings
• Manage petty cash and track operational expenses (kitchen supplies, event costs, etc.)
• Update accounts receivable and accounts payable on a daily basis

Billing & Invoicing

• Prepare and issue invoices for retail product sales, bulk orders, and workshop registrations
• Verify accuracy of billing data and resolve any discrepancies with the sales team
• Ensure timely collection of payments and follow up on outstanding dues

Bank & Ledger Reconciliation

• Perform Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS) on a regular basis
• Reconcile vendor ledgers for kitchen equipment, cutlery suppliers, and consumable vendors
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes

GST & Tax Compliance

• Assist in GST data preparation, invoice classification (HSN codes for cutlery/cookware), and filing support
• Support TDS calculations and maintain related documentation
• Coordinate with the CA/auditor during audits and statutory submissions

Inventory & Purchase Accounting

• Maintain purchase records for cutlery, cookware, and culinary accessories
• Cross-verify stock entries and support physical inventory verification
• Reconcile purchase orders with invoices from vendors
