Job Description
We are looking for a dynamic Sales & Service Executive to manage both technical service operations and field sales responsibilities for diagnostic instruments. This is a field-intensive role requiring daily customer interaction, technical expertise, and strong commercial acumen.
The candidate will be responsible for installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of equipment, while also driving sales growth, customer acquisition, and market expansion in the assigned territory.
- Key Responsibilities1. Technical Service & SupportInstall, test, calibrate, and commission diagnostic equipment at customer sites.
- Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment.
- Ensure compliance with operational, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Train healthcare staff on proper usage, handling, and care of equipment.
- Evaluate equipment performance and recommend improvements in coordination with manufacturers.
- Maintain service records, equipment logs, and inventory of spare parts.
- Coordinate with external service providers and manage service contracts when required.
- 2. Sales & Business DevelopmentDevelop and execute sales strategies to drive revenue, market penetration, and profitability.
- Identify new business opportunities in diagnostic labs and hospitals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and decision-makers.
- Generate and qualify leads, and work closely with internal teams for closures.
- Meet or exceed assigned sales targets and financial goals (revenue, margin, contribution).
- Participate in conferences, trade shows, and industry events to expand business reach.
- Support product demonstrations, trials, and evaluations for prospective customers.
- 3. Field Engagement & ReportingMandatory field activity: Meet minimum 10 customers per day (labs, hospitals, doctors).
- Maintain daily activity reports, customer visit logs, and pipeline updates.
- Prepare reports on sales performance, service activities, and market feedback.
- Provide insights on customer needs, competitor activity, and market trends.
- 4. Operational & Inventory ManagementManage consumables and spare parts inventory at the field level.
- Ensure timely ordering, tracking, and availability of supplies.
- Support internal teams with accurate documentation and reporting.
- Skills & QualificationsEducationB.E./B.Tech / Diploma in Biomedical / Electronics / Instrumentation or related field
- Experience1–3 years of experience in diagnostic equipment / medical device sales & service
- Key SkillsStrong technical troubleshooting & equipment calibration skills
- Proven field sales experience in healthcare/diagnostics
- Good communication and customer-handling skills
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving ability
- Documentation and reporting skills
- High level of professionalism and confidentiality
- Additional RequirementsImmediate joiners preferred
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory
- Ability to work independently in a highly demanding field role
