This job description is tailored for an HR Manager with 3+ years of experience within a textile, garment, or manufacturing setting, focusing on both operational HR and industrial relations.
Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and experienced HR Manager (3-5 years experience) to lead our human resources functions at our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in the textile or garment industry, managing a large blue-collar workforce, handling statutory compliance, and driving employee engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Talent Acquisition & Onboarding: Manage end-to-end recruitment for factory operators, technicians, and staff. Develop relationships with technical institutes for bulk hiring.
- Industrial & Employee Relations: Act as a liaison between the labour force and management. Handle grievances, disciplinary actions, and worker counseling to maintain a peaceful, productive environment.
- Statutory Compliance: Ensure strict compliance with all labor laws, including the Factory Act, PF, ESI, Minimum Wages, Contract Labour (CLRA), and Bonus Act.
- Payroll & Time Office: Oversee attendance, shift scheduling, payroll coordination, and full & final settlements for workers.
- Performance Management: Implement Key Performance Indicators linked to production efficiency, quality, and attendance.
- Training & Development: Organize training programs for factory workers on skills, safety, and productivity enhancement.
- Compliance Audits: Handle audits from buyers, social compliance agencies and government bodies.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Textile Expertise: Minimum 3 years of experience in a factory setup (textile, spinning, or garment manufacturing).
- Worker Handling: Strong capability in managing blue-collar workers and handling labor unrest.
- Legal Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of local state labor laws and factory regulations.
- Communication: Excellent verbal skills in local language for shop floor communication, plus proficiency in English.
- Technical Proficiency: Expertise in MS Excel and attendance management software
