Job Description
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement EMI/EMC-compliant control panels for industrial/aerospace applications
- Develop panel layouts, grounding schemes, and shielding strategies
- Perform EMI/EMC analysis and troubleshooting during design and testing stages
- Select appropriate filters, ferrites, shielding materials, and cable routing techniques
- Ensure compliance with standards such as:
- CISPR / IEC
- MIL-STD (for aerospace/defense projects)
- Coordinate with:
- Electrical design team
- Mechanical design team
- Testing & certification labs
- Support pre-compliance and final EMI/EMC testing
- Prepare technical documentation, test reports, and compliance reports
- Work on root cause analysis and corrective actions for EMI issues
Required SkillsStrong understanding of:
- Electromagnetic interference (EMI)
- Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC)
- Experience in:
- Control panel design & wiring practices
- Grounding, bonding, and shielding techniques
- Cable segregation and routing
- Familiarity with:
- EMI filters, surge protection devices
- Signal integrity concepts
- Knowledge of standards:
- IEC 61000 series
- CISPR standards
- Hands-on experience with:
- EMI/EMC test setups (conducted & radiated emissions/immunity)
- Preferred QualificationsBachelor’s/Master’s in Electrical / Electronics Engineering
- 3–8 years of relevant experience
- Experience in aerospace, defense, or industrial automation
- Exposure to certification processes and test labs
Tools & SoftwareCAD tools (AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, SolidWorks Electrical)
- Simulation tools (optional): CST, HFSS, or similar
- Test instruments:
- Spectrum analyzer
- LISN
- Oscilloscope
