Job Description
Job Summary: The Tele-Verification The executive is responsible for conducting remote verification of loan applications. Your primary objective is to confirm the authenticity of customer information, verify employment/residency details, and cross-check provided references via telephone. You ensure that all data matches the documentation submitted, maintaining high quality standards and adhering to the company’s credit policies.
- Key Responsibilities
- Outbound Verification: Make scheduled calls to customers, employers, references, and landlords to confirm the details provided in the loan application.
- Data Cross-Verification: Compare telephonic feedback against the data entered in the Loan Origination System (LOS) to identify discrepancies.
- KYC & Document Validation: Cross-verify KYC details with the customer to ensure identity alignment.
- Flagging Discrepancies: Report "red flags" or suspicious interactions to the Credit/Risk Manager immediately for further investigation.
- Documentation: Accurately update verification logs and remarks in the CRM/LOS after every call.
- Maintaining TAT: Ensure all assigned cases are verified within the specified Turnaround Time (TAT) to prevent delays in loan disbursement.
Customer Interaction: Maintain professional etiquette while handling potentially sensitive inquiries, ensuring a positive customer experience during the verification process.
- Required Skills & Qualifications
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills in the local language (and English/Hindi as required). Ability to ask probing questions to extract accurate information.
- Analytical Thinking: Ability to detect inconsistencies in responses or hesitant behavior during calls.
- Technical Literacy: Proficient in using CRM software, MS Excel, and web-based applications.
- Soft Skills:
- Patience & Persistency: Ability to handle multiple calls and follow up on unreachable contacts.
- Integrity: Maintaining strict confidentiality of applicant data and following data privacy laws.
- Experience: Prior experience in a call center, BPO, or customer service role (specifically in banking or finance) is a major advantage.
- Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Verification Quality: Accuracy of the information gathered vs. documentation.
- Turnaround Time (TAT): Average time taken to close a verification case.
- Hit Rate: The number of successful contacts made vs. total assigned leads.
- Discrepancy Reporting: Accuracy and speed in identifying and flagging fraudulent applications.
- Tele-Verification: Is fast, cost-effective, and covers a wider geography. It is the primary filter.
