Responsibilities: 

 

An SAP ABAP + TM Technical Consultant develops and customizes SAP Transportation Management (TM) solutions within S/4HANA, focusing on freight order management, planning, and carrier settlement. Key tasks include BOPF framework enhancements, BRF+ configuration, debugging, and integrating TM with MM/SD/EWM. Requirements typically include 3-10+ years of SAP experience with strong technical expertise in TM development objects.  

• Technical Development: Design, code, and test custom ABAP programs, reports, and enhancements (enhancement spots, BAdIs) within the SAP TM module. 

• BOPF & BRF+: Utilize Business Object Processing Framework (BOPF) and Business Rule Framework (BRF+) to modify standard TM functionality. 

• System Integration: Configure and debug integration scenarios between SAP TM, SAP S/4HANA (SD/MM), and EWM. 

• Technical Troubleshooting: Analyze and resolve complex technical issues related to Freight Unit building, planning engines, and freight settlement. 

• Documentation: Create technical design documents and unit test scripts.  

Required Technical Skills  

• Core ABAP: Strong ABAP OO (Object-Oriented) programming skills. 

• SAP TM Technicals: Experience with TM Technical objects, specifically BOPF (Business Object Processing Framework) and BRF+. 

• Integration Technologies: Knowledge of PI/PO, CPI, EDI, or web services. 

• S/4HANA: Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA TM.
