Job Summary

We are looking for enthusiastic and technically sound Diploma Mechanical Engineers (DME) / Graduate Engineer Trainees (GET) to join our production and quality team. The candidate will be involved in shop floor operations, quality checks, and basic production planning activities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Production Support

Assist in day-to-day production activities on the shop floor

Support in production planning and execution

Monitor workflow and ensure timely completion of tasks

2. Quality Control

Perform basic quality inspections of materials and finished products

Ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications

Maintain inspection records and reports

3. Welding & Fabrication Knowledge

Understand basic welding procedures (WPS/PQR – basic awareness)

Assist in monitoring welding quality and processes

Identify common welding defects

4. Material Handling & Identification

Identify different types of raw materials (MS, SS, alloys, etc.)

Ensure correct material usage as per drawing/specifications

Coordinate with stores for material availability

5. Labour & Shop Floor Management

Coordinate with workers and supervisors for smooth operations

Monitor labour productivity and discipline

Ensure safety practices on the shop floor

6. Documentation & Reporting

Maintain basic production and quality reports

Assist in preparing daily progress reports

Follow SOPs and company guidelines

Required Skills

Basic knowledge of production, quality & fabrication processes

Understanding of welding procedures and material types

Ability to read basic engineering drawings

Good communication and coordination skills

Willingness to learn and work on shop floor

Qualifications

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (DME) / BE Mechanical (Fresher)

ITI with relevant experience can also be considered
