Pre-Primary Teacher

Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Preschool Teacher cum Counsellor to nurture young children’s academic, emotional, and social development. The ideal candidate will create a safe, engaging learning environment while also providing basic counselling support to students and guidance to parents.

• Key Responsibilities:Teaching Responsibilities:Plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with early childhood curriculum.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
• Support children’s cognitive, language, social, and motor skill development.
• Use creative teaching methods such as storytelling, music, art, and play-based learning.
• Monitor and assess student progress regularly.
• Maintain student records and prepare progress reports.
• Ensure classroom safety and hygiene standards are maintained.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding child development.
• Counselling Responsibilities:Observe and identify children with behavioral, emotional, or developmental concerns.
• Provide basic emotional and social guidance to students.
• Offer support during transitions or adjustment challenges.
• Conduct one-on-one sessions when required.
• Guide parents on child behavior management and developmental milestones.
• Refer cases requiring specialized intervention to professionals if needed.
• Conduct parent workshops on early childhood emotional wellbeing.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education / Psychology / Child Development or related field.
• Diploma/Certification in Counselling (preferred).
• Prior experience in preschool teaching (1–3 years preferred).
• Knowledge of child psychology and developmental stages.
