Executive Director – Digital Finance, FinTech and Enterprise Transformation

Role Purpose

 

The Executive Director will lead next-generation digital finance transformations by integrating finance operating model redesign, enterprise data platforms, cloud-based SaaS finance solutions, EPM modernization, and FinTech enablement.

 

This role is accountable for transforming traditional finance functions into real-time, insight-driven, automated digital finance organizations — leveraging data lakes, advanced analytics, SaaS platforms, and FinTech ecosystems.

 

The Executive Director will own the full transformation lifecycle from opportunity identification and value quantification through digital architecture design, platform implementation, and sustained performance improvement.

 

Core Accountability Areas & Detailed Statements

Digital Finance Vision & Transformation Strategy

• Define enterprise digital finance strategies aligned to business growth, profitability, and data-driven decision making
• Design future-state finance architectures integrating:
• ERP and core finance platforms
• Cloud data lakes and enterprise analytics layers
• EPM and performance management systems
• FinTech SaaS ecosystems
• Develop multi-year digital transformation roadmaps and investment strategies
• Quantify digital value through automation savings, cycle-time reduction, insight acceleration, and working capital optimization

 

Enterprise Data Platform & Real-Time Finance Enablement

• Lead design and implementation of enterprise finance data platforms including:
• Cloud-based data lakes (Azure, AWS, GCP)
• Finance data models and semantic layers
• Real-time reporting and predictive analytics frameworks
• Integrate data across ERP, EPM, CRM, treasury, procurement, and FinTech platforms
• Enable continuous close, real-time KPIs, and AI-driven forecasting
• Govern data quality, security, and regulatory compliance

 

EPM & Performance Intelligence Transformation

• Lead modernization of FP&A, consolidation, planning, and performance management through:
• Anaplan, OneStream, Tagetik, Oracle EPBCS, Board, Jedox
• Redesign planning models, driver-based forecasting, scenario modeling, and rolling forecasts
• Implement enterprise-wide KPI frameworks and executive dashboards
• Enable predictive performance analytics and AI-driven planning

 

FinTech & SaaS Finance Ecosystem Integration

• Drive adoption of best-in-class SaaS platforms including (but not limited to):
• HighRadius (AR automation, credit, collections)
• BlackLine (close automation)
• Kyriba, GTreasury (treasury & liquidity)
• Coupa, Tipalti (P2P and payments)
• Stripe, Adyen, embedded finance platforms
• Design intelligent finance workflows across receivables, payables, treasury, close, and compliance
• Leverage APIs and microservices to create connected digital finance ecosystems
• Deliver straight-through processing and touchless finance operations

 

Intelligent Automation & Advanced Analytics

• Deploy RPA, AI, and machine learning across finance processes including:
• Transaction processing
• Reconciliations and close
• Forecasting and variance analysis
• Fraud detection and risk monitoring
• Build predictive and prescriptive analytics models for:
• Cash flow forecasting
• Revenue and margin optimization
• Cost and productivity management
• Drive continuous improvement through automation pipelines

 

End-to-End Transformation Delivery

• Lead large digital finance programs covering:
• Platform selection and architecture design
• Data integration and migration
• Process redesign and automation
• Change management and adoption
• Establish governance, cybersecurity controls, and performance metrics
• Ensure scalable, secure, and compliant digital finance environments

 

Digital Growth & Market Leadership

• Own digital finance and FinTech transformation revenue portfolio
• Build strategic partnerships with SaaS providers, hyperscalers, and FinTech firms
• Lead executive proposals and platform-led transformation pursuits
• Develop digital accelerators, templates, and proprietary solutions
• Track emerging FinTech and AI trends impacting the CFO agenda

 

Leadership & Capability Building

• Lead digital finance architects, data engineers, transformation leads, and consulting teams
• Develop next-generation finance technology capabilities
• Coach solution leaders and future digital transformation executives
• Foster innovation labs, pilot programs, and proof-of-concepts

 

Required Experience & Qualifications

• 18–25+ years of experience in:
• Finance transformation
• Digital platform modernization
• FinTech and SaaS implementation leadership
• Proven leadership of large-scale digital finance programs
• Deep expertise across:
• Data lakes & analytics architectures
• EPM platforms
• ERP modernization
• SaaS finance ecosystems
• Strong executive advisory and commercial leadership experience
• Preferred: MBA or Master’s in Finance, Data, Technology or Business
• Professional certifications (CA, CPA, CFA, PMP, Cloud certifications)
