Platform Service - FP - Senior Systems Operations Engineer

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Systems Operations Engineer.

In this role, you will:

• Lead or participate in managing all installed systems and infrastructure within the Systems Operations functional area

• Contribute in increasing system efficiencies and lowering the human intervention time on related tasks

• Review and analyze moderately complex operational support systems, application software, and system management tools to ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability

• Work with vendors and other technical personnel for problem resolution

• Lead team to meet technical deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of technical process controls or standards

• Collaborate with vendors and other technical personnel to resolve technical issues and achieve highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability

Required Qualifications:

• 4+ years of Systems Engineering, Technology Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

• Strong coding ability in at least one language (Python, Go, Java, Node.js, RPA, etc.).

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

• Expertise with Kubernetes, containers, Kafka, Mongo DB and distributed systems.

• Deep understanding of observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, ITRS, Splunk).

• Proficiency with CI/CD systems (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Harness, etc.).

• Experienced with SLIs/SLOs and error budget design.

• Incident response and runbook design.

• Performance engineering and capacity planning.

• Chaos engineering and resilience testing techniques.

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

• Excellent communication, especially under pressure.

• Ability to collaborate across engineering, product, and support.

• Ownership mindset and proactive reliability thinking.

• Understanding of Gen AI, Agents and Copilot will be added advantage

Job Expectations:

• Flexible to work on rotational day shifts, floating weekends and extended hours when required. (5:30 AM – 2:30 PM / 1:30 PM – 10:30 PM)
