Job Description
A PEB (Pre-Engineered Building) site supervisor directs on-site labour and subcontractors, ensuring accurate, safe, and timely erection of steel structures. Key duties include monitoring member alignment, plumbing, bolting, managing material logistics, enforcing safety standards, and preparing daily progress reports (DPR). They act as the primary liaison between project managers and the site team to resolve technical issues.
Key Responsibilities on a PEB Site:
- Supervision & Erection: Overseeing the safe unloading, storing, and sequential lifting of PEB steel members (columns, rafters, purlins).
- Quality Control: Ensuring precise structural alignment, plumbing, and proper torquing of high-strength bolts.
- Safety Enforcement: Implementing strict safety protocols for working at heights, crane operations, and hot work, enforcing the use of PPE.
- Logistics & Scheduling: Coordinating the arrival of materials to prevent delays and managing the daily workflow of erection crews.
- Documentation: Maintaining Daily Progress Reports (DPR), material consumption logs, and photographic records.
- Problem Solving: Identifying, addressing, and reporting site-level technical bottlenecks or deviations from structural drawings.
