JOB DESCRIPTION : Coordinating with supplier for Cargo readiness & Dispatch. • Follow up with supplier on ETD & ETA • Depending on incoterms arranging forwarder • Verifying import documents • Submitting documents to CHA for clearance • Verify the duty amount & other details in checklist prior filling of BOE • Arrange transport from CFS to WH in Mumbai. • Coordinate with CHA, Transporter for timely delivery • Validate transport, CHA, Forwarder invoice & submit to accounts for payment Maintain invoice records in scan copy Maintain import tracker with all cost incurred at the time of clearance to till WH. Prepare HSS documents Domestic • Arrange transport to transfer stock from Main hub/ warehouse to all other PAN India locations• Arrange air courier. • Vendor management. • Responsibilities: Responsible for all transactions related to imports and exports of all divisions and product lines of the company. 1. Co-ordinates clearing and forwarding of all imports & exports for the company. 2. Performs costing of all import shipments for goods in transit in the consignment data base. Liaises with Finance Department for opening Letters of Credit, transfers, and Bank Delivery Order for shipment covered by L/C. 3 Authorised our Freight forwarders to clear the goods in case of direct shipments. 4. Co-ordinates for inspection and necessary survey in case shipments arrive in open/torn/wet/damaged condition. 5. Attends inspection of damaged goods during transit at airport/seaport along with the Insurance company's representative. 6. Obtain short lading certificate from Customs Authority. Files Insurance claims and follows up for payments/credit note with the insurance company. 7. Obtains all attested legal documents necessary for exports from marathada Chamber of commerce and industry. 8. Checks and verifies Freight Forwarder's invoices for both imports & exports, obtain approval from respective department Head and forwards these to Finance for payment.Tips. REQUIREMENTS : Minimum 3-4 Years experience in handling clearing & forwarding, product costing and dealings with insurance company and customs. • Good fluency in English; Some knowledge of Arabic preferred. • Knowledge of prevailing customs rules and regulations. • Knowledge of imports & exports procedures, customs/ bank/insurance documentations and formalities. • Knowledge of costing and pricing methodology. • Knowledge of warehousing procedures & inventory management. • Knowledge of logistics and freight industry. • Knowledge of procurement rules and regulations. • Knowledge of packaging products for shipping/delivery. • Knowledge of warehousing methodology. • Knowledge of inventory management practices.
