Job Title : Market Development Manager - MEP
Location : Navi Mumbai

The Opportunity

We are looking for an entrepreneurial market builder to launch and scale Stabicad in the Indian market. Stabicad is a leading MEP design and detailing software that runs on Autodesk Revit, enabling MEP-modelers to create constructible 3D models with high productivity.

While our company has a strong footprint in India with our Structural portfolio (Tekla), the MEP market represents a massive, untapped greenfield opportunity. We are looking for a strategic leader to roll out the "India MEP Strategy," determine product localization needs, and build the foundation for long-term market dominance.

The Mission

In this dynamic situation of launching a product in a new market, you will be the MEP local business leader for the Indian territory. You will work with a technical Sales Engineer who has in-depth product knowledge but will operate at a strategic level. Your goal is to bridge the gap between the Product (Management/Marketing) teams and the local Indian market needs. You will validate the product-market fit, identify the "Right to Win”, connect with the right local membership organizations, institutions, manufacturers (etc.) and secure the initial strategic customers that will serve as our references.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure the first responsibility is "Owns the success of Stabicad in India," with product feedback, market-fit, sales, and strategy supporting that main goal. This is broken down into:

1. Market Strategy & Intelligence, the "Eyes and Ears"

  • Validate and sharpen our deep-dive analysis of the Indian MEP sector, distinguishing between pure-play MEP consultancies/contractors, BIM consultancies and general contractors.

  • Act as the primary feedback loop to global Product Management. Define exactly what "Localization" looks like for India (e.g., local standards, specific manufacturer content libraries, prefab requirements).

  • Identify the unique pain points of Indian MEP detailers that standard Revit does not solve, and map Stabicad’s value proposition to those needs.

2. Strategic Business Development

  • Move beyond the existing "Structures" customer base to hunt and secure net-new MEP-focused accounts.

  • Build relationships with C-level executives and Directors at top-tier MEP firms, moving the conversation from "features" to "business outcomes" (efficiency, pre-fabrication, risk reduction).

  • Drive the first wave of referenceable customer wins, make them “raving fans”

3. Ecosystem & Partnerships

  • Identify and partner with key industry organizations, BIM chapters, and consultancy bodies in India to position Stabicad as a thought leader.

4. Leadership & Collaboration

  • Guide and direct the activities of the MEP Sales Engineer to ensure technical demos align with the strategic business value you are pitching.

  • Collaborate with the existing Structures (Tekla) sales team to identify cross-sell opportunities within large General Contractors, without relying on them for lead generation.

Candidate Profile

Experience & Background:

  • Industry Experienced Professional: 4+ years of experience in the Construction / MEP industry or the Construction Tech software market in India. Pre: experience with relevant industry associations

  • Revit/BIM Fluency: Strong understanding of the Autodesk Revit ecosystem. You don't need to be a drafter, but you must understand the difference between design, detailing, and fabrication.

  • Strategic Hunter: Proven track record of entering new markets or launching new products. You are comfortable working with ambiguity and building a pipeline from scratch.

Skills & Mindset:

  • Entrepreneurial: You treat this territory like your own business. You are proactive, creative, and resilient.

  • Product Savvy: You can articulate technical requirements to developers and business value to customers. You can translate "We need this pipe standard" into a business case.

  • Networked: You have an existing network within the Indian MEP and Construction ecosystem.
