Job Title: Senior R&D Associate

Location: Mumbai HURC

General Context

With the new BU organization in place, we will be focusing aggressively on driving growth in Oral Care in India. The role involves working with cross functional teams to drive the oral care agenda and the category deliverables. Major part of the role will consist of Claims Management, however the candidate will also have the opportunity of working on innovation projects. It will provide excellent exposure to the India PC leadership team and an opportunity to contribute to implementing the strategy to make a real difference to the business.

Your Responsibilities

The job responsibilities would include

• Working on the claims strategy for innovation projects and H1 projects.
• Development of methods for claim substantiation
• Developing formulations and landing them in market alongwith the claims
• Building plans for new consumer studies for claims substantiation.
• Driving the claims approval process through Local Claims Forum.
• Working on understanding of country claims landscape and learnings from competitors.
• Working on regional projects as Assistant TPL and managing networks at the BU level
• Supporting for driving challenge support for ASCI
• Working closely with the X-functional teams to land and influence the project decisions.
• Working closely with the factory teams for landing savings and Innovations

The candidate will typically have demonstrated:
• Excellent understanding of the innovation process and roles and responsibilities of a TPL
• Good understanding of claims substantiation process
• Strong analytical and reasoning skills
• Working knowledge of digital capabilities in R&D
• Clear thinking; concise communications to a wide range of stakeholders
• Passion, drive and desire to win
• An appetite for challenge and learning with a hard-working, tenacious attitude.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor of Technology (Chemical Engineering) / Master’s Degree in Chemistry
• Minimum 5-8 years of R&D experience in FMCG and Oral care experience will be preferred.
• Experience in Formulation Development in oral care will be preferred.
• Experience in claims substantiation and approval process will be preferred.
