Job Summary: As a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), you will be joining a highly distributed team of experienced engineers onshore and offshore. This includes support and maintenance of ReachLocal products. Your focus will be on production & pre-production AppOps, who can build scalable systems, using best practices around automation, that improve reliability, velocity and enable monitoring of the operational health of stacks throughout their life cycle including metrics collection, aggregation, and visualization. Job Description: As a member of SRE team, • You will be responsible for maintaining and scaling production & pre-production applications and servers for complex and high throughput cloud services. • You will improve scalability, service reliability, capacity, and performance. • You will initiate and contribute to continuous improvement of our software delivery processes and practices in a multi-location, multidisciplinary team to empower and accelerate product development • You will use automation extensively to design, configure, manage, and monitor systems in support of our product development teams. • You will work hand-in-hand with all teams to ship our code to production using Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tooling. • You will have to diligently work with development/QA teams to support on their regular issues. • You will provide timely assistance and remediation solutions during critical situations and production incidents to help resolve service problems (You will be on call). • You will develop monitoring architecture, implementing monitoring agents, build dashboards, manage escalations and alerts. • You will participate in incident management and driving root cause analysis (RCA) and risk management processes. • You will participate in a fixed on-call schedule during off-hours where you may periodically need to remote-in to systems if a production outage occurs. About You: • 5 years experience of running and maintaining production infrastructure on Linux environments. • 3 years experience in supporting applications based on Apache/Tomcat, Nginx & MySQL stacks. • Experience with Docker and running container management systems (k8s & ECS) in production. • Experience with relational databases and management of MySQL. • Knowledge of best practices and experience with configuration management like Puppet. • Experience running and maintaining automated CI/CD pipelines like Jenkins, CodeBuild, Code Pipeline and GitHub Actions. • Strong experience in setting up monitoring using Nagios tool. • Working knowledge and experience in distributed version control tools such as Git. • Have experience of running and maintaining automated production infrastructure in Amazon Web Servicers and Google Cloud Platform or other cloud provider. • Working knowledge of infrastructure components such as load balancers, cloud products, container systems, compute, storage, and networks. • Have working knowledge and experience troubleshooting networks: routing, subnets, ACLs, site-to-site tunnels. • Able to write code in Bash, Python, or similar language as an application developer. • Have a working knowledge of agile/scrum processes Personal Attributes: • Strong team player who can build relationships within the organization • Have the ability to thrive in a high-energy, high-growth, fast-paced environment Strong organization, documentation, and time management skills • Have excellent communication skills – written, verbal, presentation and interpersonal • Hands-on; completes tasks and is dependable • Innovative, with excellent analysis, critical thinking and troubleshooting skills • Ability to work independently or in a team environment • A powerful desire to dive into technical challenges • Above all, ethical, fair and of high integrity Primary Location: Goregaon East, Mumbai – India (Currently - WFH (working from home)) Schedule: Full-Time - 9 hours (Permanent Night Shift) Shift & Timing (IST) Night: 10pm – 7am
