Job Description
About the RoleWe are looking for a Civil Engineer to manage on-site construction activities for a residential township project. The role involves execution, quality control, contractor coordination, and ensuring timely delivery of work.
- Key Responsibilities1. Site Execution & SupervisionOversee day-to-day construction activities (RCC, masonry, finishing work)
- Ensure work is executed as per drawings, specifications, and timelines
- Monitor labor productivity and site progress
- 2. Quality ControlEnsure adherence to construction standards and safety norms
- Conduct material checks (cement, steel, aggregates, etc.)
- Maintain quality records and inspection reports
- 3. Planning & CoordinationCoordinate with contractors, architects, and consultants
- Ensure proper sequencing of construction activities
- Assist in project scheduling and milestone tracking
- 4. Billing & MeasurementsPrepare BOQs and verify contractor bills
- Take site measurements and maintain DPR (Daily Progress Report)
- 5. Compliance & DocumentationEnsure compliance with local regulations and approvals
- Maintain site documentation, drawings, and reports
- Required SkillsStrong knowledge of RCC and residential construction
- Ability to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD and Excel
- Good communication and contractor-handling skills
- QualificationsB.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Civil Engineering
- Prior experience in residential or township projects preferred
- Preferred ExperienceExperience in affordable housing / PMAY projects is a plus
- Worked on multi-floor residential buildings or gated societies
