Indian Cook

We are looking for a skilled and passionate North Indian Cook to join our kitchen team at Hari Govinda’s. The candidate should have expertise in preparing authentic North Indian dishes while maintaining high quality, taste, and hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of North Indian dishes (Punjabi, Mughlai, Tandoor items)
• Ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation
• Manage daily kitchen operations for the North Indian section
• Maintain proper food hygiene and safety standards
• Handle food preparation, cutting, marination, and cooking efficiently
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate for raw material requirements
• Reduce food wastage and control costs
• Work closely with kitchen team for smooth service
• Ensure timely preparation during peak hours

Special Skills Required

• Expertise in dishes like Butter Chicken, Paneer Butter Masala, Dal Makhani, Tandoori Roti, Naan, Biryani
• Experience in Tandoor cooking is a big advantage
• Knowledge of spices and authentic North Indian flavors
• Ability to maintain consistency under pressure

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 2–5 years of experience as a North Indian Cook
• Experience in hotels/restaurants preferred
• Basic understanding of kitchen operations and hygiene standards
