We are building a city-by-city distribution model and are looking for strong B2B leaders to drive growth.


Role Overview


We are hiring an Area Business Manager (ABM – B2B Trade) to build, scale, and manage the B2B customer network in Mysore.


This role is 100% demand-side ownership — focused on sales growth, client acquisition, and account management.

No mandi / procurement responsibility.


Key Responsibilities


1. B2B Sales & Revenue Ownership

Drive daily sales volumes (tons/day) across:

Retail vegetable stores

Hotels, restaurants, caterers (HoReCa)

Bulk institutional buyers

Achieve monthly revenue & volume targets


2. Customer Acquisition (Core KRA)

Identify and onboard high-frequency buyers

Build strong penetration in:

Local markets

Restaurant clusters

Residential commercial zones

Create a repeat-order customer base


3. Key Account Management

Manage top B2B clients with:

Consistent supply coordination

Pricing alignment

Relationship management

Increase wallet share per customer


4. Demand Planning & Coordination

Share daily demand forecasts with supply team

Ensure alignment between:

Orders

Dispatch

Delivery timelines


5. Pricing & Market Intelligence

Track:

Local competitor pricing

Demand trends

Customer buying patterns

Provide actionable insights to optimize pricing strategy


6. Collections & Cash Flow Discipline

Ensure timely collections from B2B clients

Maintain healthy credit cycles and limits


7. Execution Excellence

Conduct daily field visits

Monitor order fulfilment experience

Resolve customer issues quickly


What We’re Looking For

3–8 years of experience in:

B2B sales (FMCG / fresh produce / distribution)

Strong network in:

Mysore retail / HoReCa ecosystem (preferred)

Proven ability in:

Customer acquisition & relationship management

Negotiation & closing deals

Good understanding of:

Pricing, margins, and distribution models


Responsibilities


● Manage and grow business with direct modern trade customers 


● Drive sales growth, category performance, and achieve regional revenue targets


● Build and execute joint business plans with modern trade partners


● Manage weekly targets, promotions, and in-store visibility


● Oversee stock planning, demand forecasting, and supply chain coordination


● Track seasonal trends, imported arrivals, and market price fluctuations


● Ensure product quality, shelf standards, and compliance across modern trade stores


●Conduct regular market visits and competitor analysis


● Identify new business opportunities within the fruit category


● Maintain strong internal coordination with operations, supply chain, and finance teams 


Requirements:


● 5–8 years of experience in sales or procurement


● Strong experience in handling direct modern trade accounts


● Background in fruit, fresh produce, or FMCG food categories (mandatory)


● Experience working with importers is preferred


● Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills


● Good understanding of pricing, margins, and supply chain
