Electronics Engineering Intern – Job Description
How you will contribute:
As a Electronics Engineering Intern, you will work closely with experienced engineers and gain hands-on exposure to real-world product development. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assist senior engineers in hardware design and basic testing of analog, digital, power or RF circuits
- Support prototype bring-up, debugging, and validation activities under guidance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as hardware, software, QA, PCB layout, and manufacturing
- Help in schematic drafting, review and basic PCB design activities using tools such as Altium Designer or similar
- Perform basic lab testing using instruments like oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, or spectrum analyzers
- Support system-level testing and help collect test data
- Document test results, observations, and learning outcomes in clear technical reports
- Assist in troubleshooting basic hardware or manufacturing issues with guidance from mentors
- Help in component research, comparison, and second-source evaluation
- Support development of test jigs, fixtures, or simple programming setups for lab use
- Participating in basic product teardown or competitor analysis for learning purposes
- Follow standard engineering practices for safety, documentation, and quality
What we are looking for:
Educational Background:
- Currently (2026) pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical & Electronics & Electronics & Communication, Instrumentation & telecommunication Engineering, or related fields
- Final-year or pre-final-year students preferred
Technical Knowledge (Basic / Academic Level):
- Fundamental understanding of Control, analog and digital electronics.
- Basic knowledge of microcontrollers or microprocessors (ARM, STM32, PIC, etc.)
- Familiarity with electronic components such as resistors, capacitors, sensors, relays, and power supplies
- Theoretical awareness of interfaces and protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, RS-485, Ethernet
- Introductory understanding of power supply concepts (LDOs, DC-DC converters, SMPS)
- A beginners exposure to layout concepts and lab equipment through coursework or projects.
- Familiarity with circuit simulation tools (SPICE or equivalent) is a plus
Soft skills & learning mindset
- Strong willingness to learn and accept feedback
- Ability to work as part of a team and communicate clearly
- Good problem-solving attitude and analytical thinking
- Basic documentation and presentation skills
- Self-motivated and curious about product development
Nice to have (not mandatory)
- Academic or hobby projects in embedded systems, PCB design, robotics, or IoT
- Exposure to manufacturing concepts or industrial visits
- Awareness of product standards or compliance concepts is a plus (IEC, CE, FCC)
