Hardware & Network Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Hardware and Networking Support Technician to join our computer store team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving all hardware, software, and networking-related issues for desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT peripherals. This role also involves customer interaction, on-site support, system installation, and maintenance services.

Key Responsibilities

🔧 Hardware Support

Diagnose and repair desktops, laptops, and workstations.

Troubleshoot and replace hardware components such as RAM, HDD/SSD, motherboards, SMPS, processors, and graphic cards.

Install and configure printers, scanners, and other peripherals.

Perform system upgrades and preventive maintenance.

Assemble and configure custom-built PCs.

💻 Software Support

Install and configure operating systems such as Microsoft Windows, Windows 11, and Windows 10.

Install and troubleshoot software applications including Microsoft Office and antivirus programs like Quick Heal and Norton Antivirus.

Remove viruses, malware, and spyware.

Perform data backup and recovery.

Configure email clients and resolve software conflicts.

🌐 Networking Support

Install and configure routers, switches, and modems.

Setup and troubleshoot LAN/WAN networks.

Configure Wi-Fi networks and resolve connectivity issues.

Manage IP addressing, network sharing, and firewall settings.

Provide basic server and NAS configuration support.

🛠 Customer & Store Support

Provide technical assistance to walk-in and on-site customers.

Maintain service records and documentation.

Recommend hardware/software upgrades based on customer needs.

Coordinate with vendors for warranty claims and spare parts procurement.

Support sales team with technical product knowledge.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Diploma/Degree in Computer Hardware, Networking, IT, or related field.

Proven experience in computer hardware and networking troubleshooting.

Strong knowledge of Windows OS installation and configuration.

Understanding of basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).

Ability to diagnose and resolve issues independently.

Good communication and customer handling skills.

Preferred Skills

Experience with CCTV installation and configuration.

Knowledge of basic server management.

Familiarity with remote support tools.

Certification such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent (preferred).
