Job description:

Key Responsibilities

• Site Inspection & Investigation: Conduct prompt preliminary, spot, and final surveys of the affected properties or sites to establish the root cause, circumstances, and exact extent of the loss.
• Loss Assessment & Quantification: Measure, estimate, and accurately quantify damages. Verify the nature of ownership, insurable interest, and adequacy of the sum insured.
• Policy Evaluation: Analyze policy terms, conditions, exclusions, and warranties to provide clear opinions on claim admissibility. Assess liability and recommend appropriate depreciation percentages.
• Report Generation: Prepare and submit detailed, fact-backed, and unambiguous survey reports to the insurer within strict regulatory timelines (typically 15 to 30 days).
• Advisory & Loss Minimization: Proactively advise both the insurer and the insured on loss mitigation strategies, safety measures, and appropriate salvage disposal to prevent further financial leakage.
• Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary technical liaison between the insurance company, the policyholder, and external technical experts, resolving queries effectively.
• Compliance: Maintain strict neutrality, confidentiality, and professional integrity. Adhere to the IRDAI code of conduct and proactively disclose any conflicts of
