Pharmacist

Job Summary

1. A Pharmacist is responsible for dispensing medications accurately, ensuring patient safety, and providing guidance on the proper use of prescription and over-the-counter drugs. They work closely with healthcare professionals and patients to promote effective medication therapy and overall health.

Key Responsibilities -

• Review and interpret prescriptions issued by physicians or other healthcare providers
• Accurately dispense prescribed medications and ensure correct dosage
• Provide patients with information about medication usage, side effects, and interactions
• Monitor patient health and medication effectiveness
• Maintain proper storage and inventory of medicines
• Ensure compliance with pharmacy laws and regulations
• Counsel patients on general health topics such as diet, lifestyle, and disease prevention
• Collaborate with doctors and other healthcare professionals for optimal patient care
• Maintain records and manage pharmacy documentation

Required Qualifications -

• Bachelor’s or Doctor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm / Pharm.D)
• Valid pharmacist license/registration (as per local regulatory authority)
• Strong knowledge of pharmaceuticals and drug interactions
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
