Senior Faculty – Social Studies (ICSE & CBSE Specialist)

Location: Medhapath Institution, Paschim Bardhaman (Hybrid/On-site)

1. Role ObjectiveThe candidate will be responsible for transforming Social Studies from a "memorization subject" into a conceptual powerhouse. You will mentor students from Grade 2 to 10 (ICSE/CBSE) and Grade 11-12 (Humanities), ensuring they master History, Geography, and Civics with a focus on board-exam excellence and linguistic precision.

• 2. Key Responsibilities
• Curriculum Mastery: Deliver high-impact lectures covering the ICSE (Council) and CBSE (NCERT) syllabi.
• Geographical Expertise: Teach Topographical Maps (ICSE) and Map Work (CBSE) with 100% accuracy. Explain climatic phenomena, soil distribution, and resources through logical reasoning.
• Historical Analysis: Move beyond dates. Teach the "Why" behind the Indian National Movement and World History to develop critical thinking.
• English-Medium Instruction: Maintain a high standard of spoken and written English. Help students frame "Board-Standard" answers using technical keywords.
• Content Creation: Develop premium worksheets, mock tests, and "last-minute" revision notes that align with your brand's "Studio" quality.
• 3. Academic & Professional Requirement
• Education: M.A. in History or Geography (Preferred) or B.A. with a B.Ed. from a recognized university.
• Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of proven experience in a reputed ICSE/CBSE school or a high-end coaching institute.
• Linguistic Proficiency: Native-level fluency in English is mandatory. Ability to explain concepts in Bengali/Hindi is a plus but not a substitute for English.
• Tech-Savvy: Comfortable with smartboards, digital presentations, and recording sessions for our online brand.
• 4. The "Top 1%" Competencies
• The Drill Down: Ability to predict board question patterns.
• Analytical Mindset: Can the candidate explain the impact of the Treaty of Versailles rather than just the year it was signed?
• Presence: Must have the charisma and voice modulation suitable for recorded/studio-style lectures.
