Position: Mechanical Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with strong experience in procurement support and mechanical design for oil & gas, terminal, and marine construction projects. The role focuses on material management, vendor coordination, and technical support for project materials, material handling equipment, and mooring structures.

Key Responsibilities

• Support preparation, review, and coordination of mechanical designs and drawings, ensuring constructability and compliance with project specifications and standards.
• Prepare accurate material take-offs (MTO) and detailed material lists for project materials and equipment.
• Lead material enquiries, obtain and technically evaluate vendor quotations, and support commercial comparisons for cost-effective procurement.
• Coordinate with suppliers for mechanical components related to terminals, marine works, material handling systems, and mooring structures.
• Prepare packing lists aligned with purchase orders and logistics requirements; support export packing where required.
• Conduct technical screening and interviews of mechanical manpower in India and recommend suitable candidates.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Proven experience in oil & gas, terminals, marine construction, or similar industrial projects.
• Strong background in procurement support, MTO preparation, and vendor coordination.
• Good understanding of mechanical systems, material handling equipment, and mooring-related components.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.
