Civil Engineer

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and skilled Civil Engineer to manage and oversee the engineering aspects of construction projects. The ideal candidate will have solid technical expertise, proficiency in AutoCAD, experience with site markings and layouts, steel quantity calculations, and contractor payment management. The goal is to ensure the timely and high-quality delivery of projects while adhering to safety, quality, and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

·        Design and Drafting:

Prepare, review, and modify construction drawings using AutoCAD. Ensure accuracy and compliance with project specifications.

·        Site Layout and Markings:

Conduct site markings and layout work according to the approved project plans and drawings.

·        Material Estimation & Steel Calculations:

Calculate steel quantities, reinforcement detailing, and material estimations for various construction elements.

·        Construction Supervision:

Oversee and coordinate construction activities, ensuring adherence to technical specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.

·        Contractor Payment Management:

Manage contractor payments by verifying the work completed against contracts, bills, and project schedules. Ensure accurate billing and timely payments.

·        Collaboration and Coordination:

Work closely with contractors, architects, site supervisors, and project managers to resolve technical issues, address challenges, and optimize project delivery.

·        Site Inspections:

Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, assess quality of work, and ensure compliance with safety protocols.

·        Daily Progress Reporting:

Prepare detailed progress reports, cost estimates, and material procurement plans for project tracking and planning.

·        Compliance:

Ensure all work complies with relevant building codes, standards, and legal requirements.

·        Mentorship & Team Support:

Mentor junior engineers and provide ongoing technical support to the project team to ensure the successful completion of the project.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Educational Qualification:
• Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Experience:
• Minimum of 3-7years of relevant experience in the construction industry.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant design software.
• Soft Skills:
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Organizational Skills:
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
• Leadership:
• Ability to mentor and guide junior engineers, ensuring collaborative project success.
